ABOUT "STILLBORN HOPE - VOL I":
"Stillborn Hope Vol. I" (2026) is the second chapter of an ambitious new trilogy from Ozul, serving as a narrative prequel to the acclaimed 2024 album, "Man on the Shore" (2024).
While the previous record depicted the protagonist’s final, tragic discovery on the water's edge, this album rewinds the clock to explore the why. It traces the slow, agonizing disintegration of a family unit—the silence, the alienation, and the psychological warfare—that ultimately drove the protagonist to his tragic end.
As an artistic choice, this first volume is a deliberate exploration of the project's more atmospheric and acoustic side. It unfolds with the patience of a film, using texture and intimacy to score the collapse of a home. This sonic vulnerability sets the stage for the heavier, metal-influenced sound of the upcoming "Stillborn Hope Vol. II," (2027) which will jump forward in time to explore the generational trauma of the protagonist's son—a man navigating the lies and shadow of a father he never met.
A complete, self-contained artistic statement produced, mixed, and mastered by Paulo Chavarría, "Stillborn Hope Vol I" is a testament to Ozul's singular, uncompromised vision: a dark, cinematic journey through the wreckage of the human heart.
